Wholesale Body Jewelry Tips

By
Ads by Webmaster
Jewelry Storewww.fifthavenuecollection.com/mpineda We Sell Fashionable Jewellery For Any Occasion.
The average consumer is not going to buy wholesale. Why not you may ask? Because they would end up with a whole lot of body jewelry that one person simply would not have use for. Buying wholesale is for the business person. Do you need to be a big business to buy wholesale? No, you certainly do not. Small business need the benefit of buying wholesale and for the body piercing business or body jewelry merchandise selling business, this can mean the difference between profit or loss.
Buying in bulk can mean many different things. Do you have to buy one hundred bellybutton rings? No it does not, not to worry. In many cases, bulk can mean as little as a dozen of a certain item. Therefore, you can have a great assortment of body jewelry without being overstock on any one piece. The whole purpose to selling and buying wholesale is to cut down on the price of goods for the business person so that they can turn around and make a profit.
It will, however, be up to you to make good choices on what you decide to purchase in bulk. Your goal will be to have quality pieces that will sell and not sit on the shelf. When done correctly, this is the best way to make your profit.
Because the majority of body jewelry can be manufactured quite inexpensively, there is a huge market for wholesale body jewelry. Everyone comes out ahead, the manufacturer, the wholesale buyer, and in the end, the end buyer as you can sell your pieces for a relatively low price while still making a profit.
You can buy lip rings, ear rings, tongue piercings, eye brow piercings, labret studs, barbells and just about any ring or stud you wish via wholesale. What should you be looking for? While you can certainly purchase extremely cheap jewelry, the material that you buy should be one of the main elements that you do not skimp on. Any wholesale body jewelry that you purchase should be stainless steel. If you don't go with SS, this is going to backfire on you.
When you are looking at your selections, it is very important to not just choose the pieces that catch your eye. Why, you may ask? Think about your customer base.
Everyone is going to have different tastes and many of them will prefer body jewelry that would not be your first choice. It is best to offer a large variety. You will want cute, flowery girly jewelry, strong masculine pieces and everything in between. If you do not know who will be walking in the door, be sure to have something for everyone. It is suggested to have at least a few pieces of every colored gem. In this way, no one can walk away disappointed and you will by busy making sales.

What type of body jewellery could I wear in my Cartilage piercing?

I got my left cartilage pierced recently, during the Easter holidays. When it's healed I would like to buy some body jewellery for it, but I would like some tips on:

1) What would be the best type of jewellery to wear?
2) Which would be easy to insert and remove without damaging the piercing?

Many thanks. The best answer gets 10/10 from me :-)

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Only us good metal jewellery (Silver, gold, platinum, titanium, etc) as cartilage is very easily infected. Regarding ends (fastenings) on jewellery, I'd only use metal too, as altough plastic is safe to use, the fastenings can easily snap, and if you lose the earing and dont realise, it might close up and or get infected.

Did you get it pierced with a needle or a gun? If it's a needle - probably a 1.2mm - you will be able to get many different bars to put in it. If it was done by a gun you should'nt change it whatsoever. It's unsafe to get cartilage pirced with a gun to begin with, as the cartilage can shatter, and you can lose your ear, and changing the jewellery will increase the risk of this. If it was done by a gun, you can have it re-pierced with a gun, and you can then change jewellery. NEVER use normal lobe earrings for your cartillage, even if they fit.

Go back to where you got your cartilage pierced, they will be able to supply different jewellery, sometimes in different colours (I have a pink bar, a blue bar, and even a multicoloured one!)

Also, you can get different fastenings, or ends, to attach to the bar you already have at the front, like little spikes, or bigger circles.

Hope this helps!!

Where to Find Wholesale Sterling Silver Festoons and Pendants

Silver jewelry is all the rage on a jewelry market that is just beginning to discover its uses. Whereas up until now gold has dominated the market, silver just now beginning to show its potential. As a result, high quality sterling silver is much in demand. This demand makes the competition for low-priced silver great. In order to avoid paying a good deal on sterling silver it is important that that you be alert to the loopholes in the marketplace and know where to look to find these loopholes.
Inevitably, the prices at the jewelry store are not going to be the lowest prices available on the market. Just as with many other endeavors the most prudent choice when seeking to obtain a bargain price on objects with silver festoons and or silver pendants is to look to wholesalers. A wholesaler is a person who sells supplies to a retail outlet. How does this help you save money?
Simple. Figure that when a retailer is figuring out the price of its inventory they do it using a set system. The retail company has to pay good money out of their pocket to purchase the product from a wholesaler. They must then calculate the cost of the product and the cost of the freight to ship the product to their store. Once they have that number they will calculate how much profit they want to make a map product and add that on to the cost. That will give you the retail cost of your product. For example, say that Harry is buying a flat of silver jewelry for his novelty shop from Silver Co. Inc. The flat of jewelry cost him $100 and there are 25 pieces of jewelry in the flat. Freight costs for the flat to be shipped to his store were $15. Therefore, the total cost of the flat of jewelry to Harry was $115.
Here he would then determine the cost per individual piece of jewelry to himself (115 divided by 25, or $4.60 per piece) and the amount of profit that he needs to make on each piece of jewelry in order to keep his shop afloat. For example's sake we will say that Kerry needs to make $100 profit from the entire flat of jewelry. This means that he needs to make four dollars in profit for every piece of jewelry he sells. Therefore, even though hair he only paid $4.60 for each individual piece of silver jewelry with the consumer unwise enough to show an interest in any one of those pieces of jewelry is going to pay $8.60 to be able to take it home.
Working with a wholesaler simply serves to cut out the middleman. Let's say that the consumer decides to remove Harry from the equation and simply purchase their jewelry from a wholesaler. Rather than placing four dollars in Harry's pocket the consumer can keep their four dollars and purchase the flat of jewelry for $100 plus freight rather than $216. That is a great deal of money remaining in the consumer's wallet.
How can you find a repeatable wholesaler? Hopefully before you are attempting to take the creation of jewelry and other novelties to a professional level you will have come to know some of the other people in the business. Other jewelers and many jewelry shops that sell sterling silver will be able to refer you to a repeatable wholesaler.

Why is some sterling silver cheaper than others?

I know (or I think) it all must have like 92.5% silver to be called sterling silver so it has the 925 stamped on it somewhere. But why is some sterling silver so much cheaper than other? I was at macy's looking at sterling silver rings and they were a few hundred dollars, then I went to target and there were ones for twenty. Am I just paying more at Macy's because it's Macy's? Or is the sterling silver at Target a lower quality?

And the rings were only silver no jewels or anything.

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

some of it could have just been painted sterling silver; other than that;

macy's obviously would be expensive, since it is in fact macy's.
macy's is a high end department store where there stuff tends to cost more.

walmart or target, on the other hand, have the consumer more in mind than opposed to how much money they can get out of us.

Where to find Wholesale Silver Boy's and Girls Pendants

When you are looking to be able to buy silver boy and girl pendants sometimes it's difficult to get the best price when paying retail. Many of us look to finding a wholesale source in hopes of being able to save a little bit of money. It seems though, that when you are trying to find a supplier of wholesale silver boy and girl pendants that every site on the Internet claims to be a wholesaler. Then you come to find out that the prices are not truly wholesale and the term seems to be a common catch phrase.
There really are true wholesale suppliers out there but there are a few things you may want to check into first before placing your order for wholesale silver boy and girl pendants. Often people are unclear of what a wholesaler really is, or how buying in wholesale works.
Wholesale by definition is someone who has access to a large quantity of goods, generally from the manufacturer, and is able to provide items to those are planning the reselling of them, such as a retail store. Wholesalers often have a minimum purchase order requirement usually a minimum amount you will have to spend or a set amount of units you'll have to buy and may require that you provide a tax identification number proving that you are intending to resell your silver boy and girl pendants. If you are looking for a large quantity of the same type item, this may be the way to go, if you're planning to resell the wholesale silver boy and girl pendants, as the majority of wholesalers work in bulk. .
There are wholesale suppliers that will allow you to choose your wholesale silver boy and girl pendants individually and by design sometimes for a slightly higher rate, but usually will still have a minimum order requirement. Shopping around for your wholesale silver boy and girl pendants are a good idea, checking into other suppliers could reveal a cheaper minimum order requirement.
Word of mouth is one of the best ways to find a wholesale supplier and depending on the nature of your business, talking to other retailers could be your most valuable tool in locating a quality supplier for your wholesale silver boy and girl pendants. It is hard to judge from a catalog or web site the quality of any product, this can be even more difficult when one is trying to buy fine jewelry. In the world of retail who has the quality products and who does not, spreads like wildfire and by talking to other retailers you could avoid losing a lot of potential money. Try not to rush into buying wholesale silver boy and girl pendants from just any wholesale supplier because if they're legitimate and sell a quality product they will be around for a very long time.
Buying your silver boy and girl pendants wholesale, can really save you quite a bit of money in the long run, even if you're not planning on running out and selling your wares. In the world of retail, a good wholesale supplier could make the difference of being able to continue to keep the doors open or having to close them.

Is this good for a 6th grader? people say I'm gifted but I don't know. Please help!?

Cherry blossoms danced across the blue sky along the coast. A young 16-year-old boy named Takuto was taking a stroll down the water and occasionally stopping to look at the sunset or chuck a rock in the water. “The ocean is almost flat today” he muttered to himself as he watched his rock skip across the salty ocean. The spring breeze played in his dark brown hair.
He looked up at the sky, shading his face as he looked at the sun. It was almost twelve. Although the beginning of spring had started barley a month ago his skin was already tanning. His mother had died two months ago. He remembered her last words to him and his sister, Sora. “I am sorry to have to leave you both so soon. But you must remember that I will always be watching you. You both are meant for something great. Far greater that beyond your wildest dreams. Your father is not dead, he is left me something before he left though. I never had the heart to tell you”
He grimaced at the painful memory. Takuto slung back his arm to throw another rock, when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. His arm dropped to his side as he squinted to get a better look. There was a young woman lying face down in the sand. Takuto dropped the rock and practically flew across the sand. He turned the girl over and she gasped as fresh air flooded into her lungs.
“Hey, are you ok?” Takuto asked gently struggling to pick her up. The girl nodded and locked eyes with him. She had a long gash across her forehead and blood was oozing out on to her midnight waist length hair. She was wearing a black jumpsuit that was torn in many places. Her eyes were a piercing shade of grey, like storm clouds ready to hurl lightning bolts down to the earth. A single sapphire pendant hung from a silver chain. “Luke.” She moaned, her eyes rolled back in her head as she fainted. Takuto stifled a gasp. He tore off one of his sleeves and used it as a temporary bandage across her head.
He ran back to his village carrying the young woman in his arms. “Help!” he cried out. “Help! Someone has been injured! Help!” he rushed up to the town clinic and pounded on the door. “ALEX!!!! OPEN UP!!!! ALEX!!!” Takuto hollered as he pounded on the door with his fist. Curious people peeked out of their houses to see what the commotion was about. “Help!” Takuto continued to cry out. Alex, the village doctor, opened the door.
“What is it now tak-” he stopped short. “Who’s this?” he asked as he rushed Takuto inside.
“I don’t know! I found her lying on the beach!” Takuto gasped.
“all right, all right. Don’t panic. Now let’s set her down here.” Alex responded as they gently set her on a bed. “Lets see what we have here” he muttered as he gently checked for broken bones. After a few minutes he stood up, brushing his hair from his face. and declared “Nothing’s broken but she has quite a few cuts.” Takuto sighed in relief.
“I’ll help,” he offered. “Alright then hand me those bandages over there.” Alex responded.
After they cleaned up the young woman Takuto sat near by and waited for the girl to awaken. After a few hours her eyes finally fluttered open. Takuto walked over. “Hey. Remember me?” he asked. She nodded.
“You saved me,” she said in a honey sweet voice “Who are you?” she asked cocking her head. “Takuto, now what might your name be?” he responded as he got his first good look into her eyes. They where a startling shade of grey. “I am Kyra.” She responded. “Kyra” he echoed “hmm.” Kyra fiddled with hair for a moment.
“So what happened to you? When I found you, you where pretty beaten up. And I don’t mean to pry but who is Luke?” Takuto asked. Kyra paused. “I-I-I don’t know.” She responded, her voice quivering “l-l-last thing I saw was a flash of b-b-blue light.”
Takuto thought for a moment. “Well do you have any family?” he asked. “I don’t know.” She responded. “You don’t remember anything?” he asked, shocked. “No” she responded, her eyes brimmed with tears “I don’t know

  • Yes, it's great for your age, but the format needs some work.
you need to indent each new paragraph and you need to start a new line for each new speaker. And there are also a lot of other mistakes..

    (example:)

Stevie glanced in the direction she was pointing.
    "That's a sheep, Lois"
"No, Brother, it's a lost cloud!"
    "Go home. Lois!"
"I want to stay with you, Brother."

PS: What I just taught you is called 'dialogue'
    ;D

Note how I start a new line each time there is a new speaker?
    Yes.

And no, you are not gifted. Your just a little better than most, I'm in grad seven and I'm a pretty good writer, so I'm going into english honors, not a magical land for geniuses :p

Tools required depend on the variety of beadwork. For general bead-stringing, I'd suggest getting a pair of "Rosary Pliers". This item combines round-nose, square-nose & diagonal cutters in a single tool. Otherwise, get all three. If you're going to secure items with "crimp beads", you'll need crimping pliers. I don't use crimp beads so I don't generally recommend them. It's just a personal preference.

For counted beadwork, like loomed work, needles, threaders & magnification are the basic tools.

For opening and closing split rings, it's handy to have two pairs of pliers or hemostats. Such saves fingernails.

  • good tools are a must when beading. you will need a pair of crimpers, round nose and flat nose pliers, and cutters. i recommend you go to your local bead store and see what they use. they should let use use theirs before you buy.

  • you'll need round nose & flat nose pliers. Also some cutters, there are more than one type. Depending on your project, you may need nylon coated stainless steel wire, thread (such as Nymo), leather or cotton cord, or stretchy cord. Theres other cords out there too.

If you are using thread, you'll need needles. Needle size is based on the size of the hole you are going through. I use a size 12 which is small, but will easily go through small seed beads sized 11/0.

If you use the nylon coated stainless steel wire (Beadalon is a common brand name), you do not need a needle, but the wire does have different sizes. A size 7 is a good starting size and is the least expensive. You'll also need crimp beads. A size 2x2 is a common size and should work on the size 7 wire. You will need clasps, such as spring ring, lobster, or toggles.

You would then just choose the type of beads you want to use. If the cord you use is wide, you might try pony beads or wooden beads.

If you need instructions on how to put this all together, check with a local bead shop. Most offer classes to get you started.

    Good luck & have fun!

  • I just took an earring making class last week at my local Bead store ( The Bead Fetish in Sacramento, CA) For $10 we had 2 1/2 hours of instructions. They had the tools to work with and then you buy the materials to make your earrings.

Anyway...I'm hooked. I ended up buying the rosary pliers (the round nose pliers might be the other name) and flat nose pliers. I didn't buy the cutters since the flat nose pliers had one built in...but I think I could get a closer cut if I but the stand alone cutters. (that's next on my list to buy)

I made some fabulous chandelier earrings and will be heading down to get more beads tonight when I get out of the office.

Girl, my advice is find a bead store in your area and ask if they have classes...that's the way to go.

    Have fun

  • I'm a beginner, & all I have in inventory so far is: beads, clear jewelrey thread/cord, hemp, & elastic thread/cord...and sewing needles. I want to get wire sometime soon, & when using wire it's always handy to have pliers & wire cutter. :)
