When I was looking for how to sell my gold jewelry and get the most cash possible, I found a lot of bad advice out there. I know how you feel if you are little apprehensive about selling your gold jewelry for a little extra money, so I am going to share what I found about the process of selling gold jewelry for some profit. You may just have some unwanted jewelry lying around collecting dust and are just unsure how to maximize your profits without getting ripped off. Hopefully my research will help you out and save you some time.
The worst place to sell Gold
So where is the worst place to sell your gold jewelry? There are a few places just around the corner from your house or just down the street from where you work. I found that pawn shops and jewelry stores offer a gold buying service that can put some quick cash in your pocket. But this type of gold buyer usually cannot offer your very much money for your unwanted gold. Why, because of their costs of doing business in the form of overheads. They have bills to pay just like you do so they need to hold back a little on their offer to be able to make some profit. Yep, it's as simple as that.
So where is the best place that I found to sell my gold jewelry?
Here is what I found in my research. You can get the most money for your gold jewelry by selling your jewelry to a gold refinery. I already know what your next question is. How in the world do you sell your gold jewelry to a refinery? If you are just a regular person like me, you don't have any connections in the gold business to sell precious metals to a refinery. Here is the big industry secret that most people don't know.
The best online gold buyers are also refineries! Cash for Gold Review takes a closer look at the so called top online gold buyer. Visit http://cashforgold-review.com and see for yourself how to sell your gold refinery direct and get the most cash for your gold.

Tips for selling my jewelry?

I have some jewelry, all of which is real gold, diamonds, ect. and I was wondering how I would go about selling them and finding out how much they're worth so I don't get ripped off. Should I take them to a jewelry store and they'll tell me? Will it cost me money to have the jewelry looked at? Any other tips?

  • You first need to know what you have. So check and look for stamps, usually jewelry is marked 10K, 14K, 18K. After you know the quality of the gold you'll have to weigh the items. You can then find its value by using this online estimator:

That should give you a good idea on what you should expect to be paid.

  • Honestly they will only sell for a fraction of what was spent for them. Unless it is VERY, VERY high end stuff, we are talking thousand dollar pieces you will get garage sell prices for them.

Selling Gold Jewelry Tips - Tips to Get the Most Money For Your Gold

Jewelry Store www.fifthavenuecollection.com/mpineda We Sell Fashionable Jewellery For Any Occasion.
When I first started looking for selling gold jewelry tips, I came across a lot of confusing information, and quite frankly, I found a lot of garbage out there. My goal is to help you identify the resources that will help you get the most money for your gold jewelry if you are deciding to sell your jewelry for extra cash during these very difficult economic times. These are not tips to help you get the most money if you are looking to pawn your precious items. These tips will help you navigate some of the different options that you have when looking for the best place to sell your gold.
Tip Number 1
Think twice before selling your unwanted gold to pawn shops. Why, because this type of gold buyer is simply a middle-man that is making a profit off of your gold. The pawn shop will make the lowest offer possible for your gold so his profits will be maximized when the gold is resold to a refinery. I have absolutely nothing against pawn shops. Finding great buys in local pawn shops has been a hobby of mine for many years. If you want to find a great used home theater system, bicycle or lawnmower, go to a pawn shop and I am most certain that you will find a great buy for items like these. But if you are wanting to sell your gold and actually make a real profit, consider other options before selling your gold items to a pawn shop.
Tip Number 2
Hesitate before you run to your local jeweler to sell your unwanted gold. If you have a very nice piece of gold jewelry that is well made and has a lot of value as being a crafted piece of precious metal, then a jewelry store may be your best option. But if you have broken gold earrings or unwanted various gold items, local jewelry stores simply have no real interest in re-selling those types items. They may be willing to buy your scrap gold, but they are just not going to offer you very much money.
Tip Number 3
Think about finding an online gold buyer. If you have not heard of this type of gold buyer, let me fill you in on how they work. Typically you will navigate to their website where you will enter your information to receive a free mailing kit so you can send them your unwanted gold by mail. The different online gold buyers call it different things and describe it in different ways, but they basically offer the same service. Their overheads are low and many of them actually don't advertise a whole lot. Since their advertising costs and other overheads are low, they typically offer a higher cash payout for your gold than pawn shops or jewelry stores. Yep, it's as simple as that.
Now here is a little secret that you may not be aware of. Many of these online gold buyers are also refineries. This means you can cut out the middle man and maximize your profits. Cash for Gold Review offers insight and takes a closer look at the so called top online gold buyer. What is the best way to get top dollar when selling antique jewelry (gold, diamond, silver, items)?

Tips for selling jewelry from an estate.

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

There are auction houses that deal mainly with deceased estates. Firstly, you need to have the jewellery valued so as you can present documentation to the auctioneer. A Little money spent on valuation now can bring you big dollars or not. If you go to a normal jeweller, make sure that you stay with the goods, some shonky jewellers replace real stones with paste. Good selling - Kay!

Jewelry Tips - Fine Jewelry Shopping Tips

It is always fun to shop for the decorative accessories no matter whether you are looking for fine or fashion jewelry. The most common reason of buying jewelry is because of a special occasion for the special someone. With fashion or fine jewelry you can always find something that can fit that special someone's personality.
There are many different kinds of jewelry these days. Bracelets, rings, earrings, necklaces and watches are some examples of them. Rhinestone handbags, bridal tiaras, pageant jewelry, and pageant crowns are more delicate and suitable for all occasions. Do not just think that they are all very expensive. Many of these are found at reasonable prices and you can easily get them around the corner of your house.
You can also get elegant jewelry at affordable price too. You just need to spend more time looking around for the best shop which offers the best price for the jewelry that can bring out the elegance in you.
Here are some practical tips that you can use right away when looking for that fine jewelry whether you are shopping in a local boutique or an online store:
1. Look for reputable company.
2. Spend some time shopping around and compare the prices.
3. Check for color and information about the particular piece of fine jewelry that you are intending to buy.
4. Decide how many flaws you can bear
5. Be weary of extremely expensive fashion or fine jewelry pricing
Most importantly, do your homework and check out the best store which offers the best price. Do not feel shy when buying jewelry for that special someone; it should be an enjoyable process. You can accomplish this even without breaking the budget that you have set for yourself too!

Fine jewelry?

is it fake? whats the difference between real jewelry and Fine Jewelry? is it valuable?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

I would call 18K gold or higher with only real gemstones fine jewelry. Anything that is 14K gold or silver with semi-precious stones I would call real jewelry. Fake costume jewelry rates at the bottom, By 18K or 14K I mean solid, not plated stuff. The good stuff is of course valuable.

"Real" is usually a term used to put something over on people who are ignorant of the ins and outs of jewelry. Anything tangible on this plane of reality is "real". Even real plastic jewelry is real. When you see a sign that says "real gold" it is important to find out what that means to the seller. If it has ANY gold in it, even gold plating, they can usually get away with calling it "real gold". If a piece is actually made of gold, silver, or platinum, it is most likely marked with a small quality stamp somewhere on the piece (inside a ring, near the clasp of a necklace, on the back or edge of a pendant).
The most common stamps are
FS -for fine silver (100% silver)
SS or 925 - for sterling silver (92.5% silver)
10K, 14K, 18K, 22K, 24K for Karat gold (for reference: 14K is 58% pure gold, 24K is 100%)
KY for karated yellow gold
KW for karated white gold
GF for gold filled (a layer of gold on a base metal)
GP for gold plate (a thin layer of gold on a base metal that will wear off with time)
Plat for platinum
There will most likely be a maker's mark next to the quality stamp. A maker's mark is a tiny version of the maker's signature.

Seller's will also use the word "real" to avoid telling people whether a stone is natural or manmade. A manmade ruby is still a "real" ruby. It has the same chemical composition as a natural ruby. It just took about a week to make instead of a few million years, making it much less rare and less valuable than the natural version.

Fine Jewelry is just a term that refers to higher end (ie. higher priced) jewelry. It can be a bit of a subjective term, but generally refers to high quality silver, gold, and platinum jewelry. If you are buying something called fine jewelry from a reputable store, it should be valuable for years to come:)
The term Fine Jewelry is essentially the opposite of Costume Jewelry, which you could pick up for $15 at Target (for example) to go with your outfit for dinner tonight. I, personally would put GF and GP items in the costume jewelry category, but some people may not. I would put better quality silver jewelry in the Fine category, other people will disagree. This is why I say it's a little subjective.

Silver charm bracelets have always been popular for giggly middle school girls, but the trend has recently become much more grown up. All the major jewelry chains are now marketing new charm bracelets for adults, and the precious metals they use are worth the extra cost. In addition, you can select charms to personalize your own silver charm bracelet, and you will get the gratification of wearing a memory album that you made yourself. Jewelry Tips - Making Jewelry Shopping Easier For Men

It's not easy to go out for shopping with women, especially because they will look at a hundred things and then will get confused. Have you ever faced a situation where your wife spends the entire day out to find a piece of jewelry and then say that she is not sure about what she wants to buy?
You get embarrassed in the showroom because of the number of times she will ask the salesmen to show something different and will then request him to show the same set she saw the last time, she shortlists them but then finally feels that they are not worth the cost. It does not make a difference to her but you...
The best way to get rid of this problem is to tell her to shop online, this way you will not have to face the embarrassment, she will be busy on the computer and you get to enjoy the day, the way you want. Not only will this be effortless, but it also becomes easy on your pocket, as the online stores can help you get a great deal. Apart from everything else, you will be able to save money and she will be happy to get so many designs to choose from.
The online stores have plenty of designs and textures, which are impossible for a shopkeeper to keep at one time. She can look at them, imagine them with the outfit she wants to wear and then place an order for her jewelry to be delivered at home.
A lot of people have started to follow this trend. Some of them I know, try looking for the latest designs that get uploaded and keep themselves loaded with them. Fashion is something that a woman can never get tired of.
And unlike men, they will keep on looking till the point they get convinced with the fact that the choice that they have made is the right one. And there will never be one perfect choice. She will look for something today and will require something else tomorrow.
So if there is a possibility that you can buy something at a discount or a price that is lower than the others, then why not grab it. Online stores always have some kind of an offer on the other. And have the latest designs on display and since the variety is so much that you will never find anyone else wearing the same thing as you are. Take a look and find what suits you the best and your friends will be jealous of.

Should women buy their own jewelry or should their spouse?

I own my own gallery filled with jewelry. Women constantly come in and complain that their husbands only buy them what they want, not what she wants. But then men complain that women are never satisfied. What's the deal? Who should be buying what?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Personally, I think it is best if a woman buys her on jewelry since it is really a personal style statement. However, a husband or significant other should be paying attention when they hear their partner say they like something, and then go back and get it. Guy's can buy diamond earrings, or a tennis bracelet, pearls, but anything past that is asking for trouble.

Recognizing and understanding keloids

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota
January 19, 2005By: Bob WhiteheadEach body heals from traumas and abrasions differently. Just like some people bruise very easily, some people scar easily. And for part of the population, scarring isn’t just a darker mark. Their scar tissue becomes fibrous and overgrows, forming a raised, more pronounced scar where the cut or wound occurred. These scars are called keloids. Keloid formation is most common among African Americans and young
