Bridal Jewelry Puts the Sparkle Into Your Special Day

>You can use this tool above to translate the articles in this site, by copy paste the paragraph  on

Bridal jewelry can consist of many different types of jewelry. Wedding rings, engagement rings, wedding bands, and a host of other accessories such as pendants, necklaces, bracelets, and jewelry for men such as diamond studs, cuff links, watches and more can all be considered part of a bridal jewelry collection that will be worn by you and your wedding party on your big day. Fine jewelry is available at your convenience both online and at fine jewelry stores near you.
The focus of your search for wedding jewelry sets will undoubtedly be the wedding ring. Wedding rings come in a wide range of materials, and you will have a great variety of gemstones from which you will choose the focal point of the ring. Diamonds are the traditional choice, and they symbolize a lovely and long-lasting remembrance of your wedding ceremony and vows.
There are many options when it comes to the purchase of wedding jewelry sets of rings. The rings come in different types of metals. You might choose from gold or platinum. Once the metal for the ring is selected, you can then decide on whether you wish to choose from finished jewelry or a semi mount. Finished jewelry is what you will see displayed at jewelry stores, and as the name implies the ring has a gemstone mounted in place and is ready to be worn immediately. Semi mounts refer to rings that have open mounts, allowing you the opportunity to select a loose gemstone and have it mounted. With a semi mount, you can customize your ring more easily by selecting a gemstone of the color and cut that you prefer.
The diamonds showing prominently in diamond engagement rings and other components of wedding jewelry sets may consist of clear or colored diamonds. Diamonds can come in a wide selection of colors, adding an unexpected and pleasant surprise for the center of diamond engagement rings. Depending on the rarity of the color, colored diamonds can be in the same price range as clear diamonds or more expensive.

Diamond engagement rings are just one of the types of jewelry that you will wear on your wedding day. Depending on the neckline of your wedding gown, you might want to highlight it by wearing a diamond pendant necklace. A bracelet at the wrist that features diamonds will add a little more sparkle to the exchange of rings. You may also decide to give a great gift to your wedding party by getting matching necklaces for the women and matching cuff links for the men, which they can wear for the ceremony and then wear as a lasting remembrance of your appreciation. All manner of bridal jewelry can be explored at your leisure online, and then seen in person at stores so you can be sure that you like what you are getting.

Jewelry Gifts - From Head to Toe

>You can use this tool above to translate the articles in this site, by copy paste the paragraph  on
the box above, choose the language you wish for translation and hit the translate button.....

You want to give a piece of jewelry as a gift. But what to give? There are perhaps more options than you thought. This article is designed to give you some new ideas as well as reminding you of the normal jewelry choices of rings, necklaces and the like. We will run through the body from head to toe and look at the options.
Starting at the head we have earrings (and nose-rings). There are also tiaras and circlets and all manner of jewelry that sits on the head. These can range from simple head bands to sophisticated gem-encrusted items. There is a particular type of body adornment called a 'Torc' (or 'Torque'). This type of decoration was first worn by the ancient Britons, Gauls and Germans. It consists of a strip of twisted metal made into a armband, necklace or collar.
You might think of jewelry gifts that clip into the hair rather than sitting on the head. Examples are hair-clips and hair-slides. These can be very attractive and are available in all price ranges. As a joke gift there are even hair-bands with messages or with balls and other objects on springs. Lastly there are 'Piercings' available for various parts of the body. This involves some form of minor surgery and we do not advise this. There are significant health risks involved and it is mentioned here only to complete the picture.
There are necklaces, pendants and chokers to go around the neck. These are available in all types and price ranges and make excellent jewelry gifts. Unusual examples of items for around the neck might include chains for spectacles or a bag containing a charm or memento. Religious symbols are popular. These should be chosen and given with care. They may be most suitable when given at a suitable religious occasion.
For the body and clothing there are pendants, brooches and similar items. There are very smart tie-pins and cuff-links for wearing with suits. For the right type of person a pocket watch on a chain would be an ideal gift. For more informal gifts there are all sorts of badges and buttons available. Some are based on TV shows, films and books. There are even items of jewelry of this kind for a more expensive gift.
For the arms and hands the traditional choices are rings, watches, bracelets and bangles. A ring for special occasion such as an engagement can be very expensive and you may have to plan months ahead to ensure that you can afford it. As well a finger rings there are also thumb rings. For the particular type of person then rings with symbols such as skulls or happy faces might be applicable. For the right type of person a Torc might be suitable.
It can be difficult to think of jewelry gifts for the legs or feet. Toe-rings are available, but the recipients choice of footwear will determine whether this is suitable. An ankle bracelet is an alternative choice and is more visible. These can be very expensive. It is important to ensure that the clasp and general construction is strong enough to survive being worn.
If you are buying a gift with a gem then consider using the appropriate birthstone. There are calendar month birthstones, star sign birthstones and even Celtic birthstones.
A suitable choice of jewelry gift can show that you have really thought about a item, especially if the gift is unusual or special.

Most or perhaps all of the malls worldwide have small boutiques that sell jewelries it is not only pawnshops that sells jewelries there are some jewelry boutiques available at malls too. You can get good return profits on jewelries especially if you order different kinds, sizes and variety of jewelries such as gold, silver or diamond jewelries in a form of rings, earrings, bracelets and pendants. There are expensive collections of sets of jewelries, set in jewelry business means with earrings, necklace with pendant, bracelet and ring. In jewelry business does not need much marketing online nor advertisements because usually to women and few men they easily order sets of jewelries as gift to their special someone, friend and family. As it is known that most women likes jewelries and even want to have collections of different kinds of jewelries for different occasions that women like to attend. Especially to women who are very sociable they want in every gathering they will wear different kinds of jewelries to be centre of the spotlights are always their wishes.

SaleHoo directories can provide any eBay sellers of wholesale jewelry suppliers that are good in quality and in different varieties that will suit for everyday and special occasions use. Rings, earrings, necklaces, pendants and bracelets are available in different sizes, shapes, weights and styles also available in diamonds, silvers and gold. Wedding rings and engagement rings are usually especially made and carve with dates of the wedding date or engagement date. And any sellers can get wide varieties of jewelries even order in wholesale suppliers that seem like cheap but it will provide wide choices of styles and kinds that will surely fits to women taste, needs and wants.
Therefore in choosing a wholesale jewelry supplier must be a reliable one or has been trusted by many sellers online that can provide good quality jewelries as we all known women are very meticulous and want everything to be in place and perfect. You might have seen some of these "Stuff People Say" short videos on YouTube and other places around the web, and now, Beadwork magazine editor Melinda Barta and Founding Editor Jean Campbell have teamed up to bring you one just for us: Stuff Beaders Say!
Do any of these sound familiar to you?
"Wait, just one more round!""Can you thread this for me?""I really need more beads.""They're small, so I can sneak them into the house."
Take a few minutes and watch as Melinda and some of the awesome ladies who work here at Interweave reenact the things that we beaders do and say more often than we'd like to admit!

Bead Crafts: More Than Just Beaded Jewelry!

Bead crafts have been around for hundreds of years. The first bead crafts were probably related to adorning clothing with thousands of tiny beads, but artists soon discovered that they could use beads to craft other items such as baskets, jars, and ornaments. There are many wonderful examples of bead crafts in museums around the world!
But beaded crafts don't have to be big and elaborate. In fact, you probably have everything you need right now to sit down and start creating a piece of beaded art. Turn your trash into treasure by adding some beads! And who hasn't admired those lovely beaded ornaments that turn up during the winter holidays?
We've assembled a collection of eight bead craft projects just to give you a taste of what those beads can do! We all know that beads can be used to make beautiful jewelry, but with a little imagination, beads can be used to craft all sorts of items.
Dig through your recycling and find an old glass bottle, then turn it into a piece of beaded home decor by making Inga Hunter's Spangled Island Bottle. The beads and sequins will brighten up any room! Don't throw away that empty matchbox! Susan Swanson's Ski Sweater Matchbox Cover fits like a glove so you can use that old matchbox to store your favorite tiny bead treasures. Make a decorative basket out of beads with Alison Eastman's Dutch Spiral Basket. It's perfect for a sunny porch or your favorite kitchen table. Take an ordinary mesh bug box and turn it into a work of bead art with Ramona Finocchiaro's Beaded Bug Boxes. These are definitely NOT for the kids!Learn some basic French beaded flower techniques with Arlene Baker's Marguerite Daisy Pin. Beaded flowers are beautiful at any time of the year, and this one can be made in any color for any occasion. Learn a new beading stitch and whip up a set of easy Herringbone Coasters using pony beads for your next party. Choose bright colors of pony beads to make your party even more festive! The pony beads make it easy to learn a new beading stitch!Imagine how delightful a basket full of Yulia Crystal Papakina's Beaded Easter Eggs would be-no refrigeration required! Hide them in the backyard for your favorite egg hunter on Easter morning or tuck them into a little Easter basket with some jelly beans. What would the winter holidays be without a flurry of Snowflake Ornaments by Robin Cowart? Sparkling seed beads make these beaded ornaments an essential part of your holiday decorations, and they make great beaded gift tags for your holiday packages.
Yes, beads have the power to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary-with just a little bit of thread, wire, and patience, you can turn an everyday object into a carefully crafted piece of bead art. Free Polymer Clay Beading Project: Mashed Up Hearts

the box above, choose the language you wish for translation and hit the translate button.....
Although I've tried my hand at bead making using polymer clay, I've never considered myself to be particularly good at it. Especially after seeing a friend of mine who created an entire Lord of the Rings chess set out of polymer clay -- I just don't need that kind of intimidation while I'm trying to make my polymer clay beads look like beads!
But with all the new polymer clay bead-making tools, powders, and embellishing products available, I've started to take an interest in polymer clay again. Polymer clay is starting to look more and more attractive to this former lampwork artist, especially since I don't have lots of hours to sit at the torch anymore. One of the great things about polymer clay bead making is that it's something I can even do with my four-year-old son: he loves to make loads of little polymer clay balls for me to embellish and bake!
Today on Beading Daily, I'm thrilled to present to you a free, exclusive polymer clay project from Iris Weiss, the Education Manager of Polyform Products. Polyform Products distributes Sculpey and Premo! polymer clays as well as a whole line of tools and embellishments for polymer clay. These beautiful Mashed Up Hearts can be used as either pendants or pins!

Aren't these little polymer clay hearts great? The thing I love about these is that there's no wrong way to make them! For someone who doesn't do a lot with polymer clay, a project like this makes me think that there's hope for me yet!
Have you mastered the basics of polymer clay and want to start making jewelry that's both refined and organic in nature? Then you'll definitely want to check out Enlightened Polymer Clay. Each of the twenty-nine projects takes basic polymer clay techniques and shows you how to use them to create light, ethereal polymer clay jewelry. Get your copy of Enlightened Polymer Clay and take your polymer clay bead making projects a step further!

Gemstones for 2012: The Year of the Dragon!

>You can use this tool above to translate the articles in this site, by copy paste the paragraph  on
the box above, choose the language you wish for translation and hit the translate button.....
Growing up, two of my best friends were Chinese girls who had spent several years living in India before coming to the United States. Through them, I learned so much about Chinese culture (and cooking - yum!) that I fell in love with everything about China. I've read many books about Chinese history and art, martial arts and, of course, Chinese astrology! During my college years, the three of us would spend hours in the book store reading through books on Chinese astrology, trying to figure out how my husband (an Ox) and me (a Tiger) managed to get together. (According to Chinese astrology, we're supposed to be completely incompatible!) We ate up the descriptions of the different personalities attributed to each person born in a certain year, and we tried to figure out how they applied to us.
Well, this year, 2012, is the Year of the Dragon in Chinese astrology. What does that mean? Well, the Dragon is one of the luckiest and most powerful signs in Chinese astrology. People born in the Year of the Dragon are said to be self-assured, fearless, flexible and innovative. Dragons make good artists, diplomats and politicians. Dragons can also be quick-tempered and and stubborn, but the element of water comes into play during 2012's Year of the Dragon, providing a somewhat calming influence on Dragon personalities and making them more sensitive to the needs of others.
You can capture a little bit of that good fortune and balance said to be bestowed upon Dragons in 2012 by using some of the lucky gemstones attributed to those powerful Dragons! There are three gemstones that are said to be particularly auspicious for the Year of the Dragon:
Opal. Opals are said to assist in spiritual journeys, as well as stimulating change and manifesting your ideas. For Dragons, who are believed to live in great balance with their spirituality, these are powerful gemstones for spiritual exploration.
Opal beads are hard to come by, but you'll be able to find a variation called Mountain Opal which is actually a vein of opal that has been cut with the surrounding "parent" rock. Opal cabochons, both artificially created and natural, can be purchased from some gemstone dealers.

Sapphire. I couldn't resist this bronze and sapphire coin pendant from Green Girl Studios while I was shopping during the Tucson gem and mineral shows! I've always been a fan of dragons, and this one combined with one of the lucky Year of the Dragon gemstones seemed perfect to me. Sapphires come in many different colors, including green, orange, pink white and yellow, but blue sapphires are said to help one use their full creative potential!
Since sapphire beads can be more expensive than other gemstones, you can always buy just a few of them and then enhance them with your favorite deep blue seed bead.
Amber. Amber is fossilized tree sap or resin, so it's not technically considered to be a gemstone or a crystal. Like sapphires and opals, it comes in a wide range of colors including green, golden, honey (a beautiful opaque light yellow), red and black. The red amber beads I used to embellish this handmade porcelain dragon cabochon by Marsha Hedricks (another Tucson find!) are believed to offer peace and promote self love and acceptance. I've heard of amber being referred to as the "human" gemstone, because it is naturally warm to the touch. When worn directly against the skin, amber is said to be able to transform negative human energies into positive energies.
Amber comes in a variety of beads and cabochons, some of which have been carved with beautifully intricate designs. Be aware when purchasing amber that the pieces with real inclusions (like bits of bugs and leaves) are very rare and hard to come by, and should be priced higher than other pieces of amber. If you find a piece of amber with inclusions at a price so low that it seems too good to be true, it probably isn't genuine!

Make the Most of 2012 with These Lucky Gemstones! Looking for some new ways to use gemstones in your jewelry-making projects? Check out the new book Gemstone Settings: The Jewelry Maker's Guide to Styles and Techniques. You'll find information about how to use your favorite gemstones (and a few new ones!) in beautiful, architectural metal jewelry designs. Learn how to set gemstones in prong settings, bezel settings and grain settings, and with so many valuable references about popular gemstones, step-by-step instructions for making your own gemstone settings and basic fabrication techniques, this is one jewelry making book that you'll refer to time and again.
