Women love to purchase jewelry and today there is a wide variety
of jewelry to choose from. This includes everything from modern to
traditional jewelry with your choice of metal. With all of these choices
available to you, there are definitely some things that you must
consider before you make your purchase. These things include:
1. Do you want to purchase just 1 piece of jewelry or an entire set? You need to know what you want to buy before you ever enter the jewelry store.
2. What is your budget like? The cost of an item will depend upon its weight, size and the materials that it is made out of as well as any taxes.
3. Will this piece of jewelry complement the look that you are trying to achieve? You may find several pieces of jewelry that would work which is why you will want to try the jewelry on in a mirror before making your final decision.
4. Do you want to purchase a piece of jewelry that has stones in it? If so, then make sure that the jeweler weighs the gold without the stones so that you are paying the appropriate price for the piece that you are purchasing.
5. What is its true quality like? This is very important, especially whenever you are considering purchasing something as precious as gold or a diamond. For this reason, you should be knowledgeable about these things before purchasing any jewelry.
6. Is the design truly attractive and up-to-date with the latest fashion trends? Consider whether you want a contemporary or a traditional design. This way you will not be tempted to buy something that you are not going to be happy with in the end.
If you are able to keep these tips in mind the next time that you purchase a piece of jewelry, you will be able to get a truly beautiful piece of jewelry for yourself.

matter what crafty things that you decide to do, always pruchase the
very best materials that you can..While following the instructions for
your particular craft don't ever be afraid to add your own personal
touch.. A pattern is only a guide..who knows..maybe your unique touch
may inspire a new trend..Micheals and Joann's have alot of inspiring
craft ideas.. I go every now and then for beading supplies and usually
want to load the cart with one of everthing..check out a place called fire mountain gems
on the web, they have tons of jewelry and clothing embellishment ideas
and you can request a free catalgue that is huge. Happy Crafting..

- My tip is don't buy into the racket. Don't get a machine, or buy ready-made, to do what you could do yourself. For example, it is a lot of fun and very rewarding to make shapes out of fabric and paper for embelleshing scrapbook pages, even though the "industry" would like you to believe you should buy theirs and then just assemble it. Never assemble when you can create.
But I do believe in using patterns until you acquire enough skills to design your own stuff. Browse the craft section of the pattern books at Jo-Anns, and make some cool things for your home.

- Learning to dressmake is a fabulous thing. To understand the way a garment is constructed frees you up from having to follow patterns. I'm in the SCA and live in awe of those people who can look at a medieval painting, then go home and make the outfit. Mosaic is a fun thing too. I've only done one chest of drawers, but I had fun and now have the skills to re-tile the bathroom or kitchen if it ever needs doing. :)
I think your first step ought to be the craft/ DIY shelf of your local library. There'll be craft books on all sorts of things, even things you've never heard of. Your second step could be to join a craft group. I recommend the SCA (http://www.sca.org) if you are into medieval crafts and things, there are a lot of people doing a lot of different things who'll be happy to swap notes with you. Otherwise, your town probably has a spinners and weavers guild, a knitting group, a quilters group, and who knows what else. Do a google search using the words "guild" or "association" and that should bring them up.
